Antique half plate cased ambrotype by the Spooner brothers of Springfield, illinois. This antique glass ambrotype portrait depicts a young woman in a bonnet a very Victorian image. The half plate image is clear and free from any damage along with the heavy brass Cutting mat plate which is a Spooner brothers design. The leather case has a beautiful floral patter tooled all over it.

The case is marked: Cuttings Patent July 11th 1854, Spooner Bros
